Company Heritage
The Oxford Group was founded in 1987 by Nigel
Purse, Sheena Porter and Ian Ritchie who shared one vision - to
build a business that would make a real difference to clients
through inspirational people development solutions.
We continued to grow through the '90s by
focusing even harder on the quality of our solutions and our
people. This approach helped us attract and retain long-term
relationships with many of the world’s leading organisations, such
as Barclays, GE, Shell and Vodafone, as well as a continuing
relationship with Mars.
Today, 80% of our work is through repeat
business or referrals from clients delighted with the positive
impact our programmes have made to their organisations.
Values
The Oxford Group has a
strong ethic of respecting people’s rights, capabilities and
potential at work.
We are proud to say that our people and our
clients believe this is one of our most distinctive professional
features. And it is this ethic that is evident in the open,
two-way, lasting relationships we build with our clients.
“You’re not like other consultancies – we
can trust you.”
Our values are tangible in the way our people
design and deliver development solutions. Whilst they truly
challenge and stretch participants, our people are straightforward,
honest and positive in intent and implementation.
Results
Who we are today is the result of what we do
and how we do it. Being committed to delivering real business
benefit is achieved through a process we called Define, Design,
Deliver and Evaluate:
- Define - We work alongside you to ensure the real needs of all
stakeholders are considered and clear outcomes and success measures
are identified.
- Design – Unique development experiences are
then created which deepen self-awareness and build knowledge,
skills and confidence.
- Deliver - Our people development specialists
and executive coaches then provide solutions - in local language
and across multiple cultures - whilst maintaining quality and
consistency.
- Evaluate - The outcomes of our work are
then studied and the learnings fed back into your organisation at
no additional cost.
