Andrew Long
Andrew joined The Oxford Group in 2003 having spent most of his career as a line manager with a reputation for results and developing his teams. He empathises and communicates clearly with clients and people at all levels.
Business background
Andrew’s last corporate role was to develop an L&D strategy for the African arm of a global financial services group. This included design and rollout of talent management programmes, design and delivery of director/senior manager leadership development and introducing performance management for 7,000 staff.
With considerable management experience in the UK and overseas, Andrew enjoys working with clients to improve business effectiveness and assist with development of current and future leadership capability.
Areas of expertise
Leadership development, particularly for directors and senior managers, team facilitation for small groups and large conferences, working with senior leadership teams to improve their working relationships and outward-facing impact. Establishing learning and development strategies, performance management, employee engagement, coaching and mentoring to leaders at various levels.
In 2001, Andrew was recognised Mentor of the Year by the National Mentoring Consortium.
